PyraMax Bank’s Multimillion Dollar Investment in Mitchell St. Location Signals Commitment to Milwaukee’s Hispanic Community

MILWAUKEE, (October 21, 2009) – PyraMax is banking on last month’s grand re-opening of its Mitchell St. location to send a clear signal to its near south side neighbors that PyraMax Bank is committed to a long-term relationship with the community. PyraMax has invested nearly $2 million into modernizing and expanding the branch location and creating an environment that is inviting to the Hispanic community.

“We want our customers to feel at home when they visit our bank,” says Karen Murphy, senior vice president-retail banking. “We’ve added a courtyard with lots of green space and created a warm color scheme with rich earth tones and terra cotta.”

The newly remodeled Milwaukee Branch is now a 4,242 square foot facility. PyraMax has added three drive-thru lanes and a walk-up ATM. The focal point inside the facility is an Internet Café that lets clients safely and securely go online to access their account or surf the web. A bilingual staff is always on hand to help. The Milwaukee Branch also broadcasts news, weather and stock market information on TVs in the lobby and has a large play area for children.

From now until Oct. 31, PyraMax Bank will offer any new clients a $50 Visa gift card when they open a checking account with a minimum deposit of $25. There are some conditions that are required, including the opening of an online banking account or at least one payroll, social security or pension deposit of $250 within 60 days of opening the account. The $50 Visa card will be mailed after all conditions have been met.
